While at Challenger Geomatics, Tony Napolitano of Synergy Planning Inc. was hired by the landowner to prepare and coordinate a subdivision application to create one (1) 1.84 ha± (4.6 ac±) lot with the balance (remainder) to include a future road allowance dedication.
Mr. Napolitano was successful in demonstrating how the creation of the additional parcel was consistent with the Residential Two District (R-2) uses allowed under the Land Use Bylaw and that the proposed subdivision will have minimal impact on the natural environment, the local road system and will be compatible with the surrounding area, while maintaining the rural character of the Municipality. In addition to providing typical subdivision and supporting application figures, Mr. Napolitano also prepared a concept sketch that clearly delineated the Chestermere Flood Inundation Area to mitigate any concerns regarding the potential for flooding if a breach occurred from the Western Irrigation District’s canal.
