While at Stantec Consulting, James Mazak was the planning lead for an 8 Lot Country Residential Development in Bearspaw.
Mr. Mazak prepared all the planning applications, supporting documents, coordinated the public open houses, and defended the Land Use Redesignation, Conceptual Scheme, and ultimately the Subdivision at Rocky View Council. As part of the planning process, Mr. Mazak also undertook a comprehensive land review, which helped in mitigating key design factors, such as the requirement for a slight jog in Woodland Way to accommodate a pre-existing access agreement with the adjacent neighbour and by strategically adjusting parcel boundaries in order to ultimately create building envelopes on each parcel to ensure that each newly created parcel would have unobstructed views of the mountains.
