Chinook Valley Environmental Protection District and Subdivision Approval

While at Challenger Geomatics, the Principals of Synergy Planning Inc.  were engaged by the Developer to prepare and coordinate the creation of a new Environmental Protection Land Use District to allow for equestrian trails, pathways, and other passive recreation uses, while still providing the level of protection required under the Municipal Government Act for Environmentally Significant Areas.  The Principals of Synergy Planning Inc. co-authored the new Environmental Protection Land Use District and accompanying Environmental Management Plan with Ducks Unlimited Canada, that provided the environmental commitment and oversight to ensure compliance with legislative requirements for the View West Foundation, in conjunction with the Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School.

In addition, the Principals of Synergy Planning Inc. prepared and submitted the necessary land use and subdivision applications for approval from the Municipal District of Foothills.  Upon receiving the required land use approvals, the Principals of Synergy Planning Inc. also assisted in the implementation of the subdivision approval, by coordinating the necessary reports and negotiations with Alberta Transportation to address the intersection upgrade requirement at Secondary Road 552 and 306 Avenue West.
