Apple Creek Golf Course – Land Use Redesignation Approval

Synergy Planning Inc. was hired to take the lead in assisting with preparation and processing of Apple Creek Golf Course’s land use redesignation application in order to meet the requirements of the planning and engineering processes at Rocky View County, when the original consultant team failed to advance the project.

After reviewing the site and previous failed applications by other consultants, Synergy Planning Inc. recommended and successfully led the proposed land use redesignation application approval to change the subject lands from Ranch & Farming (R-F) District to Business Leisure and Recreation (B-LR) District.  The proposed land use redesignation was the first of several steps that were required in order to fulfill our Client’s wish to create a Public Golf Course on the subject lands.

Synergy Planning Inc. also prepared supporting figures and illustrations to facilitate discussions and ultimately the approvals with Alberta Environment, that were critical in securing the required licenses for water and demonstrating a sustainable approach for water conservation and environmental management throughout the proposed development.
